Similarity doesn't analyze any melody, notes, etc. it just compare raw sound data with some tolerance. Precise algorithm can't find changed rhythm compositions. Just try free version on your collection to have your opinion.

I have a couple of good old tape cassette records from (non-digital) radio and from vinyl LPs.

Is Similarity able to find out what is music and what scratch noise?

How much weight does Similarity put on melody and rythm analysis and how much on pure sound level?
