Title: Group column !?

What is the meaning of the "group" column ? Even when I start re-arranging groups (i.e. sort groups according to quality) the column 'Groups' still remains empty. And it is unclear for me if I could edit or fill this column (how and for which purpose). I understand the 'group' action but not the (meaning of) 'group' column. Can anyone help ? Thanks. (I have a premium subscription).

Group column used then you select different folder groups:
